The Mama Bears do things such as attend a wedding as an affirming stand in mom, visit someone in the hospital, help someone get settled in a new area, provide some transportation, include someone in their holiday gatherings, provide temporary housing, send a note of encouragement, talk on the phone etc

The Trevor Project – The Trevor Project is the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth. Every day, The Trevor Project saves young lives through its free and confidential lifeline, in-school workshops, educational materials, online resources and advocacy.

PFLAG: Parent, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays – PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights.

National Center for Lesbian Rights – The National Center for Lesbian Rights is a national legal organization committed to advancing the civil and human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their families through litigation, public policy advocacy, and public education.

Gender Spectrum – Gender Spectrum helps to create gender sensitive and inclusive environment for all children and teens. Gender Spectrum has been working to create a more gender-inclusive world since their founding in 2006. They are committed to helping families, organizations, and institutions increase understandings of gender and consider the implications that evolving views have for each of us.

Family Acceptance Project – The Family Acceptance Project® is a research, intervention, education and policy initiative that works to prevent health and mental health risks for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) children and youth, including suicide, homelessness and HIV – in the context of their families, cultures and faith communities. We use a research-based, culturally grounded approach to help ethnically, socially and religiously diverse families to support their LGBT children.

Everyone Is Gay – Everyone Is Gay works to improve the lives of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning/Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA) youth using a three-pronged approach: providing honest advice to these youth while keeping them laughing; talking to students in an effort to create caring, compassionate school environments; and working with families & educators of LGBTQIA kids to help foster an ongoing dialogue and deeper understanding.

Lamda Legal – The nation’s oldest and largest legal organization working for the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, and people with HIV/AIDS.

ACLU – For almost 100 years, the ACLU has worked to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States.

Give A Damn – The Give a Damn Campaign is for everybody who cares about GLBT equality.  Whether you’re already an active supporter, want to show your support for the first time, or hadn’t given equality a lot of thought before and now want to learn more, we are here to help you get informed about the issues and get involved, at a pace that works for you.

Trans Family Support Services – works with families all over the country to guide them along the gender journey.

Trans-Parenting – Trans-Parenting is an organization dedicated to providing support and educational resources to parents and their advocates (pediatricians, mental health professionals, lawyers, schools, friends, family, and churches) raising a gender-independent child.

Transfaith – Transfaith is a national non-profit, led by transgender people, that works to support transgender spiritual/cultural workers and their leadership in community. They work closely with many allied organizations, secular, spiritual, and religious, transgender-led and otherwise.

The Visibility Project – A national portrait and video collection dedicated to the Queer Asian American women & trans community. The Visibility Project breaks barriers through powerful imagery and storytelling.

Believe Out Loud – Believe Out Loud is an online network that empowers Christians to work for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality. We elevate the people and places where Christianity and LGBT justice intersect.

COLAGE – COLAGE unites people with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer parents into a network of peers and supports them as they nurture and empower each other to be skilled, self-confident, and just leaders in our collective communities.

The Recovery Village Ridgefield LGBTQ Addiction Resources – Members of the LGBTQ community are more at risk to have substance abuse issues. The Recovery Village offers resources especially for LGBTQ people struggling with addiction.

Chrysalis Mama – a community of support and education for parents and allies of LGBTQIA+ adolescents, teens, and young adults.
